Day 2 – Battle for the Reichstag; Ravensbrück Concentration Camp

We start today by looking at the last weeks of the Third Reich and see where Hitler’s Bunker was. We look at the story behind those final days and see a reconstruction of the bunker in an air raid shelter at the Anhalter Bahnhof. We look at the Battle for the Reichstag in April 1945, following the Russian Advance, and after lunch, travel to the Ravensbrück Concentration Camp. This was a woman’s camp and many British SOE agents died here, including Violette Szabo GC, of ‘Carve Her Name With Pride’ fame.
